<div>I’ve gone back and forth about posting this, but I’m in a tough spot right now and figured it’s worth being honest.

<div>Last Friday I was in a scooter accident and broke my leg. It’s a very bad break and I need surgery to heal the right way. The surgeon won’t even see me without a $1,500 deposit, let alone what the hospital will want before they schedule it. I don’t have insurance, and doing lawn care work I’m currently unable to work at all right now, so I’m doing my best to get by.

<div>I’ve applied for Medicaid and food assistance, and thankfully, a kind friend has taken me in and is helping care for me while I try to get things sorted. But I’m still stuck when it comes to the surgery.
