Support for an Extraordinary Woman!

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

I come to you today with a heavy heart, but also with hope and gratitude. I want to introduce you to someone incredibly special in my life – my beloved nan, Beryl Vipond. She's a remarkable woman who has faced more challenges than most, yet her spirit remains unbreakable.

Many of you may know my nan from her days in Tennant Creek, where she dedicated herself to serving our community with boundless love and selflessness. She's always been the rock of our family, bringing laughter, warmth, and unwavering support to all who know her.

In 2018, we lost my pop, her beloved husband and best friend. Their love was a beacon of light in our lives, a fairytale romance that is rare to find. Since his passing, my nan has been trying to navigate through the darkness, grappling with grief while trying to make ends meet.

Recently, she made the difficult decision to move to Adelaide in search of a fresh start. However, life hasn't been easy for her there. Despite her best efforts, she's encountered hardships that have made it even more challenging to make ends meet.

To cope with the financial strain, my nan opened her home to others, hoping it would provide some relief. Sadly, this decision led to her being taken advantage of by someone she trusted. In a cruel twist of fate, she discovered that her entire life savings, approximately $4409, had been stolen from her bank account while she slept peacefully in her bed.

This devastating loss has left my nan in a precarious financial situation. After paying rent and bills, she's left with barely enough to cover her basic needs for the fortnight. It breaks my heart to see her struggling like this, especially after all she has endured.

As a family, we're doing everything we can to support her, but we recognize that we can't do it alone. That's why we've created this GoFundMe campaign – to rally around my nan and show her that she's not alone in this fight.
