Help for Ben and Family

Hi. This is the last thing I want to do. It's with a heavy heart that I'm establishing this fundraiser. My nephew Ben has been dealt a blow that nobody deserves - let alone a 15 year old boy. Ben was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma last year. He battled courageously and endured 31 rounds of radiation and even more chemotherapy. This alone left him with challenges including damaging his saliva production resulting in a feeding tube, substantial nerve damage and muscle mass reduction in his right shoulder.

Last week Ben's health took a turn when his legs "felt funny" while he was at school. Doctors have confirmed the worst case scenario - Ben's cancer has spread to his spine and lungs - stage four.

Our family is at a loss with this news. It seems like we've just been through the exercise of leaning on our community for support. My brother Benny and my sister-in-law Angela have a mountain of issues to deal with at the moment - finances shouldn't be one of them.

I humbly ask that if you're in a position to spare a few dollars for my nephew's cause, we would be eternally grateful. Funds raised will be used for home modifications totaling $7000.00 (mobility issues), medications (north of $1200.00 monthly), etc.
