Help for Baby Theo
So as many know our baby Theo was given zero chance of survival. He has no amniotic fluid, which means he can not develop lungs. Today at our ultrasound we learned that this is due to Theo not having kidneys. I was offered to go to Standford University in California for a extended stay, have fluid added to my amniotic sack, allow Theo to grow and then when born he will be given part of my kidney or if needed the closest match. Then if all was successful we would come home. There is a lot of what if’s, and with out this there is still zero chance. It appears Theo is perfectly healthy otherwise and is growing perfectly on track. This is not a guarantee that we will get to bring him home but it’s our only chance to try. They are showing a lot of success with this trial. The part we are facing is our out of pocket co pay, and then travel expenses. Housing, food and some gas will be covered by the trial. Brandon will stay home and the kids and I will go, I have some family that is somewhat local as well as friends to the San Francisco area along with our own family that can travel down occasionally. As many know we are a big family on a single income. There is a financial aspect to this standing in the way. The minimum needed for co pay and first round of travel expenses is just shy of $10,000 after that it will just be a very long stay for the kids and I but they will cover housing and we can make it work! It was suggested I start a go fund me & lots of prayers. Theo has been given zero chance for a long time now, and now he has a chance and we want to try and take it. We appreciate any and all support through prayer, meals, visits and emotional support.
