Emerie Elise Sturm was born to Alyssa and Sam Sturm Saturday March 25th at 3:19 am. She was born with a diaphragmatic hernia which basically means her intestines were pushing into her lung making it very difficult for her to breathe. Emerie was rushed to Children's hospital NICU for monitoring and will have surgery to repair the hernia later this week. Recovery will be long. The family is looking at at least a three week stay in the NICU.

Many of our friends and family are reaching out and asking what they can do to help the family right now. While meals are always appreciated, the family won't be home much to accept them as they will be spending most of their time at the hospital. What would be most helpful are donations so they can get most of their meals from the hospital cafeteria.
