Help for Aunt Sue
Donation protected
We are requesting a fundraiser for our family member Susan Manns to help pay her rent and bills while she is incapacitated.
Susan slipped and fell in the parking lot today and broke her femur. She is currently in the hospital awaiting emergency surgery. The femur is an important bone in the leg and is critical to how the body moves at the hip. Even though it is the strongest bone in the body, it is not immune to injury. Femoral fractures hip dislocations and other conditions can be very serious if left untreated and can have a long-term impact on movement. As this surgery is major it could take her up 6 months to recover from it.
Susan is single, in her 60s and lives alone with her pets. She has had some very bad luck over the years which has affected her overall health.
Susan has been battling non-Hodgkin lymphoma/leukaemia which meant aggressive chemo along with other treatments. She has not been able to work full-time since first being diagnosed.
Susan was also involved in 2 car accidents, both of which were not her fault. She has still not fully recovered from her injuries.
All of Susan's friends and family know that Susan is an animal advocate and will rescue any animal that needs her help. She would help any organization or rescue agency that needed her help in capturing and/or picking them up and transporting them to a safe location or facility. She never asked for anything in return. Even when she was so sick she would still find the energy to help an animal in need.
We are requesting this fundraiser to help Susan pay her rent and other bills while she recovers.
Any amount collected would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
