Help for Aunt Peggy

Hi Family,

I'm putting together this fundraiser for Aunt Peggy. NYC recently got hit with a Noreaster and as you can see, Aunt Peggy's car and her only means of transportation was completely ruined by flooding in her area.

Aunt Peggy has always been independent and having to rely on others has taken a toll on her both physically and emotionally.

I recently went to visit Aunt Peggy yesterday and I can honestly say that I have never seen her looking the way that she did.

Aunt Peggy usually has something smart or sarcastic to say to me (in a joking way of course..lol), but when I went to visit her, I couldn't get a smile out of her at all.

Some of you may know that Aunt Peggy is also going through chemo and radiation treatments. Having a car is not a luxury at this point. It's a necessity so that she can get around and make it to her appointments.

I realize that the holidays just passed and money is probably tight for a lot of us. But Aunt Peggy has way too much family for us not to jump in to offer a helping hand.

This is the reason why I'm putting together this go fund me. We haven't found a car yet. The thought process was to create a go fund me, see how much we could raise, and then start shopping for a new vehicle.

When Aunt Peggy heard that I was planning on putting this together, she called me and she asked me not to. I told her that it was already done and was not up for discussion. I also told her that we were only doing what she would do for any of us if God forbid, we found ourselves in a similar situation.

Family-whatever you can do would be greatly appreciated. No amount is too small. I hope you can help!
