Hello IST community!!!

We are asking for your help this holiday season and beyond. A family within our IST community is in a real struggle. A single parent with a wonderful kid has been diagnosed with a terminal condition (specific details are being kept private out of respect). They are having a tough time managing alone, logistically and financially. IST parents and faculty have already been helping out with food, gifts, childcare, etc., but we need MORE help to make whatever time this parent has left with their kid as beautiful and stress-free as possible. A big request has been help with weekly house cleaning and other odds and ends. We are trying to raise money to help with any and all needs they might have in the coming months. The biggest request is for weekly house cleanings (this is SO important to keep the parent as healthy as possible but also, most of us know just how much work and energy it takes to do all the daily chores when you have a kid, this time and energy could be better spent!).

Each cleaning is quoted at $150, plus extra for any deep cleaning that might be needed periodically.

If you or anyone you know would like to contribute $150 to cover a cleaning, that would be AMAZING! But we encourage and welcome ALL contributions of any size.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ease the burden of this lovely parent and child. Let us make sure they can spend as much quality time together as possible. We want them to save all their energy for each other.
