Everyone knows how hard it is to ask for help...but that is what we are doing -
We are asking for help and compassion from the community for a very deserving family who has been down on their luck for years. They are needing a village now more than ever and I pray we can show up for them!
Adrienne is a single mother to a severely autistic 10-year-old son named Kieran. Adrienne spent years showing up and advocating for Kieran. As we all know, Butler County is the biggest county in Kansas but lacks resources to help single families in situations like this. Kieran's father is absent from his life, and the child support payments are even more inconsistent.
For 10 years Adrienne has shown time and time again what a mother's love can and will do! She has shown up every day and has never given up hope. After being let go from her job due to having to run Kieran to and from dr appointments and therapies, she has been in survival mode trying to keep food on the table and them off the streets. Adrienne and Kieran currently live with her mother, Jerrie.
Jerrie is 75, a stage 4 cancer survivor and still currently working trying to keep her family from completely drowning.
Adrienne is behind on bills, living reimbursement paycheck to paycheck. She is struggling to keep gas in the tank, food in the fridge, and their house is in DESPERATE need of a new foundation, flooring, plumbing, updated electrical, and windows. They struggle every summer to keep their house cool and every winter to keep their house warm. The roof is also needing replaced as it constantly leaks even after repairs.
The goal is to raise enough money to pay off their debt, help support the renovations needed in their home to make it a livable and safe place for the whole family, and maybe even give them a little bit of a savings so they do not have to survive paycheck to paycheck.
Any monetary donations would be greatly appreciated, or if you know of anyone willing to donate their time and resources to help with the home renovations, please reach out!
It takes a village!
Thank you taking the time to read this and God bless!
