Urgent:Help Katerina Care For Her Grandmother After A Stroke

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart for my incredible roommate, Katerina . Her grandmother—the woman who helped to raise her, loved her, and taught her so much—has suffered a devastating stroke in Ukraine. She now needs full-time care, and with no one else to step in, Katerina is carrying the weight of this crisis alone.

She is now solely responsible for not just her own survival, but also for ensuring her grandmother gets the care she needs. She has to hire a sitter to help, cover medical costs, and provide for her grandparents—all while trying to keep herself afloat here in the States. The stress is unimaginable, and she’s doing everything she can, but it’s just too much for one person to bear, so I am asking on her behalf that you spare what you can in order to ease the pain.

I’ve watched her stay up worrying, trying to figure out how to make this work. She’s giving everything she has, but she needs help. This isn’t just about money—this is about love, about family, about making sure an elderly woman isn’t left alone in a time of crisis and her young granddaughter doesn't have to watch her grandmother suffer.
