Help Foodsquad Feed the Community this Winter

We are a group of volunteers that regularly serves a hot vegan meal and pudding every Friday from a city centre location in Sheffield (Theatre Deli). We serve around 40-60 meals in each session. Our main aims are to tackle social isolation and food poverty through good chat and good food. We create healthy balanced meals from food that would otherwise go to waste fresh on Friday morning to serve at lunch time.

Whilst we run on a pay what you can basis we do unfortunately run on a loss which we make up with the little funding we're able to secure. For the last 10 months we've operated in a shoestring budget and now we're starting to run into red.

This money would go towards us continuing to pay our rent on our venue and kitchen space as well as buying in a few extra food bits to top up what we're supplied with such as cooking oil and tea and coffee.

We understand this is a difficult time of year for everyone financially but would greatly appreciate anything people are able to donate, going into winter our service is more important than ever as we operate as a warm bank all through winter as well as hosting our open to all Christmas Lunch on Christmas day. We hope with your help we'll be able to continue through winter.
