Help Floyd and Lisa Rebuild Their Lives
Donation protected
My name is Spencer, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my parents, Floyd (67) and Lisa (66) Parson.
My mom and dad have always been the kind of people who would give the shirt off their back to help someone else. They’ve worked hard their entire lives and raised me to value kindness, faith, and perseverance. But now, after a series of hardships, they’ve hit a point where they need help themselves—even though they’re too humble and proud to ask for it.
Both of my parents are on disability. My mom needs a knee replacement, and my dad has endured a leg amputation below the knee, along with a metal rod in his back. Despite these challenges, my dad went back to work as an LPN in a prison emergency room just to try to keep up with bills and the rising cost of living.
Then tragedy struck: a kitchen fire destroyed much of their small home, damaging many of their belongings. Insurance barely covered anything, and to make matters worse, during the cleanup someone broke in and stole what little was left.
On top of that, my dad’s prosthetic leg causes painful sores from the long hours he works, forcing him to miss shifts. He simply can’t afford a better prosthetic, and the financial strain has become overwhelming. Between trying to repair their home, keep up with medical needs, and cover basic bills, they’re drowning.
I’ve helped as much as I can, but with a family of my own and a baby on the way, my resources are stretched thin. Making this GoFundMe is one way I can still stand by them when they need me most.
My parents are heartbroken and embarrassed to be in this position, but I know they deserve to live with dignity and comfort after all they’ve given to others.
Any amount—big or small—would mean the world to us and will go directly toward:
• Urgently needed home repairs
• Medical expenses and a better prosthetic for my dad
• Basic living costs while they recover from these setbacks
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting my mom and dad. Your kindness truly makes a difference. God bless you. ❤️
