As many know Lewis County and surrounding counties were hit hard by this ice storm with trees falling and breaking apart blocking roads and taking out power lines. I started out Saturday morning to go help clear roads and driveways in an area I heard was still in need of assistance. While approaching the road I noticed a pickup stuck in a ditch and a man standing next to it with a prosthetic, so I offered to pull him out and up the hill. In my efforts I was able to get him out of the ditch and onto the road and about halfway up the hill my turbo blew up rendering my truck useless. I’m asking for help to get my truck back on the road so I can continue to assist as weather persists.
Any donations over what will be needed to fix my truck will go towards cleanup efforts for anyone in the community who is assisting as well as damage repairs for those who can’t afford it within the community, and God forbid any arrangements for any soul who may have succumbed to the storm.
