I am Tiphanie, living in Lyon, France. I created this fundraising to help Firas, an 18 years old boy and his family.

Firas and I have been in contact for almost one year now. Despite everything he has gone through; the loss of his father, continuous bombing, displacement, lack of food, water, and electricity; he has never stopped studying and never lost hope.

Over the months, Firas became like a little brother to me. During our conversations, he told me many times that once the war would be over, he dreamt to come studying in France where I live. Despite the terrible conditions he lives under, he’s always worried about other ones. He’s the most courageous, kind and smart 18 years old boy I’ve ever met and I’m so proud of knowing him ❣️

“Hello,

My name is Feras Rock, I’m 18-year-old and I live in Gaza. Before the war, Gaza was my paradise. I was a dedicated student, dreaming of becoming an engineer. I loved swimming, and the sea was my playground.

But on October 7, 2023, everything changed. The war forced my family and I (6 people) to leave our home. We were displaced to the Khan Yunis camp, in the south of Gaza. We now live in a tent with no intimacy struggling with hunger, thirst, and a lack of basic necessities. Winter is now coming, bringing cold and humidity with him. With no source of heat, we’re afraid to be sick.

Despite the difficulties, I cling to hope. I dream of completing my education, becoming a successful engineer, and making my family proud. I yearn for a peaceful life where I can pursue my passions and contribute to my community.

Your support can make a significant difference in my life and the lives of my family. Your donation would help us to provide essential supplies: Food, water, medicine, and shelter to alleviate our immediate needs; but also to fund our escape. Indeed, we still hope that the borders open so we can move to a safe and peaceful place, but the price to cross the border goes from 5000$ to 10000$ per person.
