Two-Week Challenge for Africa
As many of you know, I am spending a month volunteering in Africa, helping in a very poor community at a free school for children living in extreme poverty at the Eli Rays Pre-Primary School.
These children range from ages 2 to 10 and are all learning together. Many arrive with very little.
The school relies heavily on volunteers to help keep things running and to give these children the care, attention, and support they deserve.
Recently, volunteers completed the kitchen, which now allows the community to cook and provide food for children who otherwise would come with nothing — something that has already made such a meaningful difference.
But right now, the children are still eating on the floor in an unfinished room that is open to the elements.
My goal is to help finish this space so the children have a safer, cleaner, more suitable area to eat their meals and snacks. They are hoping to add a proper floor, tables, chairs, and supplies needed to complete the room.
So I am starting a two-week challenge.
For the next two weeks, I am reaching out to my network and to everyone who has asked how they can help. My hope is to raise enough money to help finish this room for the children.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward supplies they need. Our money can go such a long way in Zambia, and I know firsthand how much they appreciate and depend on this support.
At the end of my trip, I will share photos of what was purchased and how the money was used.
Whether it is $10, $20, $50, or simply sharing this post, every bit helps and every act of kindness matters.
Thank you so much for supporting my initiative, this school, and these beautiful children.
