For years, @lifeofashowbus has been documenting life on a 40-foot converted school bus, and along the way, that bus has become a tool for community support. It shows up wherever it's needed. That can mean helping someone get somewhere safe, giving someone a place to land when they have nowhere else to go, documenting issues that matter like the shrinking Great Salt Lake and the land around the proposed Stratos data center in Box Elder County, or bringing energy to a community event.

We are working to build it out further into a fully equipped mobile community resource vehicle, and we need your help to get there.

What your donation covers:

Kitchen rebuild: A new fridge, stove, and microwave/toaster oven so we can prepare hot meals for anyone who needs one.

Food and meal supplies: Ingredients and staples to feed people at community events and wherever we are needed

Clothing and personal care: Spare clothes, socks, underwear, and hygiene kits to hand out to people in need

Emergency support: For anyone who ends up with nowhere to go and nothing on them, for whatever reason, this bus is built to be ready

Fuel: To get to community events across the Wasatch Front and to more remote locations like Box Elder County, where we continue documenting the land around the proposed data center site

Security system: Cameras mounted to the bus for documentation and to keep the bus and the people inside it safe

Exterior paint: A fresh coat so the bus is immediately recognizable as a welcoming community space
