Our family is grieving the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Josh — a loving husband, an incredible dad, and a man with a heart of gold. At just 44, he passed away from an unexpected heart complication, leaving behind his wife and their two beautiful boys, aged 13 and 10.

Josh was the kind of person who showed his love through hard work and helping hands. He poured endless hours into building and renovating their family home, not only for his own family, but also helping friends, relatives, and anyone who needed support. He was always the first to show up, tools in hand, ready to help someone else.

Their home was in the middle of a major renovation that Josh was doing almost entirely himself. With around 80% of the house currently demolished, his wife and boys are now facing the heartbreaking challenge of trying to carry on without him, while also trying to finish the dream he started — a safe, complete family home where they can heal, live, and honour his memory.

Many people from the community and the trades have reached out, offering support, labour, and love. We are deeply grateful. Any amount donated — big or small — will go directly towards completing the renovation that Josh worked so hard on, giving his family the home he dreamed for them.
