I’m Tom, an audiometrist in Fiji, where I’ve spent the last thirteen years helping people with hearing loss.

As I enter my seventh decade, my mission remains simple: to make hearing aids accessible to those who need them most.

In Fiji, affordability is a major barrier.

Teenagers struggle to hear in school, taxi drivers miss addresses and mothers strain to connect with their families.

Without government or charitable support, many can’t afford even a basic hearing aid.

Despite my continued efforts to secure funding, financial assistance has not eventuated - thousands still go without - and it’s heartbreaking to see the realisation that help is out of reach, financially.

With the support of a major hearing aid manufacturer, I’ve managed to help many people over the years—but I’ve only scratched the surface.

My dream isn’t to build a big business - but to create a sustainable model that delivers modern hearing technology to those in need - and leaving a legacy for others to build on.
