Hello I am Jaquelin Alonso, my father Fernando Alonso got detained by ICE Wednesday 15th, October 2025 around 12:30pm. My father was on his way back home from work to pick up my 9 year old sister from school but unfortunately he got stopped by ice and wasn’t able to. He was racially profiled and forced themselves into his car. All they see is a hardworking Hispanic person with a work truck and go after them. My father has no criminal record nor has he done anything bad to deserve this. He’s a hardworking person who has built his own landscape business and has helped the community to the best of his availability. He’s a nice caring man, who loves helping others in need, he’s loved by his family, friends, and even by his clients. With the little free time he had he would spend it all with our family. Unfortunately we live in this country where we don’t all get treated the same. We should be fighting ignorance, not immigrants. Our parents came to a different country to have a better life for their family. Not for families to be scared or to even have to think about the fact that they are going to be separated from their families by going to work, getting groceries or even simply stepping foot outside of their home. My dad raised us to be strong, to keep going no matter the situation or circumstances and my sister and I are fighting and doing whatever we can in our power to fight and overcome this tragedy. No matter how much we all try to prepare for a moment like this no one is truly prepared for this. Trying to keep our sanity calm and focus has been very difficult for us. My father was our main provider. Without him it has been very hard.
