Asslamualikum/May peace be upon you! I hope this message finds you in good health. During the pandemic, the state of the Busumbala community, in West Africa Gambia has gone from bad to worse. Many people are struggling to provide food and iftar (food to break their fast) for their families. This pandemic has hit all of us negatively, but imagine how it would impact a community that is part of one of the least developed countries. 

How will your Donation help?

Your donation will help feed iftar for the Gihoo community within Busumbala. With your donation, each family will receive:

1 ) bag of rice
2) bag of onions
3) bag of sweet potatoes
4) bag of sugar
5) carton of chicken
6) crate of eggs
7) carton of dates
8 ) vegetables for cooking
9) Oil for cooking
10) bag of chips


 I am partnering up with brother Abubacarr Camarra and his local Imam (Priest) from the village of Busumbala, in West Africa Gambia. Abubacarr is the eldest of seven siblings who lives with his mother and is also the breadwinner of the family. Alhumdulillah (Praise to God), Abubacarr has been helping his community to the best of his ability with the help of donations. I have added pictures of him distributing food to the most vulnerable in his community. However, in order to achieve maximum effort in feeding the whole Gihoo community, he needs our help. With the help of his local Imam, Imam Bakary, they have calculated a total of 150,000 Gambian Dalasis needed to provide iftar for the full Gihoo community.
