Please read! My name is Macy and I am an artist that lives in Racine, Wisconsin. Around 28,000 residents in my county are dependent on food stamps, half of which are children. In the wake of an ongoing government shutdown and pause of SNAP benefits, all funds raised will be going to the Racine County Food Bank to help feed families that need our help now.

This location collects and distributes over 90,000 pounds of food each month to our community and operates with nearly 300 volunteers to distribute goods to local pantries, emergency shelters, community meal sites, and social service agencies.

Despite this small fundraiser being run individually by myself, rest assured that every cent donated will match the total received by the RCFB and will be publicly allocated. Thank you to any and all donations for helping to feed families in Racine County during this uncertain time, especially with the holidays approaching.

Why donate money instead of goods themselves?

Something that isn't common knowledge: when it comes to food pantries, monetary donations stretch farther than donating goods themselves. This is because charitable organizations have special bulk and wholesale purchasing power, meaning they can acquire pantry essentials at a much lower price. Just to give an example, a $25 donation to a food share program might provide 36 meals, while that same $25 in a grocery store only provides 1-3 meals.
