Help Feed & Clothe Asylum Seekers & Immigrants

Want to join me in making a difference? Venezuelan asylum seekers and immigrants were bussed into NY without warning. The city is putting them up in hotels until other arrangements can be made. The Heights Friendly Frig, along with Romemu Brooklyn and other community organizations, are raising $ to help feed and clothe about 75 families being housed at the La Quinta Inn in Brooklyn.

The families have been invited to dinner in Romemu Brooklyn’s Sukkah on Wednesday, October 12 from 6-8pm at Mt Prospect Park, where they also will be given donated suitcases, sweatshirts, socks, coats and diapers.

Please contribute what you can to help feed these families on Wednesday. If you have the following items to donate, please drop them off at Mt Prospect Park on Wednesday at 5:30pm.

Any additional funds collected will be used to purchase meals and gift cards for clothing and essentials for these families.
