We are Erin and Sven, and our kids, Rowan and Sailia, have been volunteering in Africa for the last 3 summers. They have dug wells (with only a shovel), built roofs for houses, fed the children, volunteered at the orphanage, built a community center, and so much more! Sven and I have the opportunity to go visit them in Africa in only 2 weeks! We're so excited to go and see all the service they have been doing and where they've been the last 3 summers!

Sailia said the hardest part for her is how the kids tear at her heartstrings because they're hungry. She said the kids NEVER ask for anything, but as they follow her around (and love to help while they're working), they will eyeball the food, and she knows they're just hungry. They don't want toys; they want food. She spends most of her money buying the kids food. And it doesn't cost much. She will get them an African roll that costs her about $0.25, and they are so happy and thankful! This last summer, they took suckers, and the video of the kids' happiness and gratitude was overwhelming.

I'm asking if anyone wants to donate to go towards these little things for us and big things for them, we would be grateful, Sailia and Rowan would be grateful, and these kids will be grateful! As we visit the areas the kids have served, we want to be able to have some money with us so we can buy the kids food Even a couple dollars goes a LONG way out there!!
