Help Fathia Ali and Her 11 Children – Urgent Sadaqah Needed

Donation protected
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to share the story of Fathia Ali, a single mother from Africa who is facing unimaginable struggles. She is a mother of 11 children, and right now, her family is in a crisis that requires our compassion and support.

Fathia is trying her best to care for her children, but life has dealt her a difficult hand. Among her 11 children, two of her sons are dealing with severe mental health issues that require constant attention and care. As a mother, Fathia feels the weight of this burden deeply, knowing that her sons need help that she struggles to provide. The emotional toll on her is immense, as she fights to keep her family together in the face of such challenges.

Another one of her sons is currently stuck in Dakar, Senegal. He completed his schooling but was unable to pay for his third year of university, and as a result, they are withholding his certificate. Without it, he cannot find decent work. If we can help him return home, he will be able to assist his mother in caring for his younger siblings and help lift some of the burden off her shoulders. However, he has no means to afford the travel costs, and his situation remains dire.

One of Fathia’s daughters recently found work to help the family, but sadly, she was made redundant, leaving the family without an extra source of income. Their father, who should be a source of support, is in and out of jail and cannot assist his family. He used to run a shop to provide for them, but after falling into bankruptcy, he lost everything, including their home.

To make matters worse, Fathia is battling her own health issues. She is diabetic and not well, which adds to her daily challenges. Recently, she and her children were evicted from their home and are now living in a small room without electricity or running water. In the sweltering heat, which often exceeds 40°C, the conditions are not just uncomfortable; they are truly unbearable. Fathia feels the desperation of trying to keep her children safe and fed in such harsh circumstances.

In our faith, we learn the importance of supporting one another, especially those who are vulnerable. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us, "The merciful are shown mercy by the Merciful" (Sunan Abi Dawood). This is our opportunity to extend our mercy and support to Fathia and her children, to show them that they are not alone in their struggles.

We are aiming to raise funds to help Fathia in several critical ways:

Provide a Safe Home: Help her find stable housing where she and her children can live safely, with access to electricity and water.
Reunite the Family: Assist in bringing her son back from Senegal so that he can support his mother and help provide for the family.
Support Basic Needs: Ensure that Fathia can provide food, clothing, and medical care for her children, including the support her sons with mental health challenges need.
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a huge difference. It all adds up and will go directly to helping this family overcome their hardships. If you cannot contribute financially, please keep them in your du’as. Your prayers are powerful and can bring hope and strength to Fathia and her children.

As Allah (SWT) reminds us, "And whoever saves one [life] – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely" (Qur'an 5:32). Together, we can make a profound impact on the lives of Fathia and her children.

Jazakum Allahu Khayran for your kindness, generosity, and compassion. May Allah reward you abundantly for your support.
