Fasil- Sponsor Group through Welcome Corps formed for Fasil Wolde Bika.

Hi, my name is Hailemariam Kebede. I'm fundraising for Fasil Bika Wolde. Fasil-volunteer sponsor group, volunteers have a group of five friends and family members formed to sponsor a refugee through the new “Welcome Corps” program launched by the US Department of State in 2023. The group is to help fundraise for Fasil Wolde Bika with a group name “Fasil -volunteer sponsor group" and we will need at least $2425. The funds will be used for the newcomer towards Housing, Health, School, Transportation, Employment, and other necessary expenses for resettlement adjustment to a new life in the United States. Global displacement is at an all-time high, with 100 million people worldwide uprooted due to war, political or economic instability, and the impacts of natural disasters. We are filled with gratitude for the safety and security we so often take for granted, so neighbors, family, and friends in our community have decided to sponsor a refugee newcomer family by helping to provide them a place of safety and security too. With our collective knowledge and passion, we are confident in our ability to provide the support required for a family, and we need your help.100% of the funds we raise will be spent on supporting the family’s start-up and living expenses during their transition to Independence in our community. We anticipate that most of it will go toward housing-related costs.
