Help Farmer Lee Fight Detroit's Land Seizure

Farmer Lee was acquitted, now the City of Detroit is illegally trying to seize the farm in a civil Case!
Farmer Lee & family need your support as they undergo a civil suit that the City of Detroit has filed against her and Detroit Farm & Cider. The City of Detroit has filed an emergency injunction for Detroit Farm & Cider’s property to be seized. In their motion there are claims that the farm is an irreparable danger and threat to the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Detroit. The city is saying the farm constitutes a public nuisance. Further allegations claim they are an environmental danger to the safety and general welfare of the public and significantly affect the communities health, peace, comfort and convenience.
These claims could not be further from the truth, Detroit Farm & Cider is fully licensed and permitted, each of their surrounding neighbors and businesses have signed a letter of support. Her Postal worker wrote “Farmer Lee is 100% liked by her neighbors - for sure! I’m the postal carrier for the farm and the surrounding streets. Everyone loves the farm - all the homes around! And also this postal carrier!”
The City of Detroit is petitioning the court to seize the farm so they can return it to its former state and legally have ownership of the property. What does this mean? The King family will have to leave the home they built on the farm and our Nation's first Black Owned Cider Mill will be seized and demolished. Ask yourself this…Why is the city of Detroit fighting to take land away from Detroit Farm & Cider, from that community, from Detroiters? A property that Farmer Lee and her family takes pride in. Dedicating all of their love and resources into maintaining and cultivating.
Please make a donation to support Farmer Lee’s family as they fight to keep their land and legacy. Make a donation to fight with Farmer Lee! #IStandWithFarmerLee
