The AIA school community is urgently requesting support for a Capital Region family whose main breadwinner and his 4-year-old daughter were taken by ICE on Fri. May 29, 2026, in the Pine Hills neighborhood of Albany, NY. The Capital Region Sanctuary Coalition (CRSC) has confirmed a young father named Alexander and his 4-year-old daughter were kidnapped by five ICE agents while Alexander was walking his daughter to school. Alexander is the main financial support of his family and has two small children. This family is in need of funds to help secure housing and basic necessities of life, in addition to preparing to reunify with Alexander and their baby in South America.
