I am Seda Yilmaz originally from Malatya, one of the worst devastated cities affected by the earthquake on February 6th in Turkey. My parents, brother, his wife and 3 children, including my relatives’ homes have either collapsed or are heavily damaged. My parents’ residential building is heavily damaged. The aftershocks from the earthquake continue to shake the region, therefore authorities have decided to demolish the entire building. For more than 40 days now my parents are living in a train wagon. Their condition is extremely dire; they are unable to do self-care, they do not have any beds, enough clothes, or hygiene products. My family is unable to retrieve any belongings from their home and are still awaiting the container home from the government. We would like to raise enough funds for the family so they could buy food, rent an apartment, buy school supplies and meet all their needs.
