This GoFundMe was originally created to help cover emergency medical care for our beloved family dog, Moose, after he suffered severe smoke inhalation during a fire. Moose was more than just a pet he was a protector, a best friend, and a source of comfort to everyone in the home.

Despite the vets’ efforts and everyone’s prayers, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put Moose down. His lungs were too damaged, and we couldn’t let him suffer.

Because I initially made this fundraiser out of respect for the family and didn’t want to publicly share too many personal details, the campaign focused on Moose. But now, with his passing, I want to be transparent about what’s next:

All remaining and future funds will go directly to the family to help with housing, clothes, school supplies for the kids, and anything they may need as they try to rebuild from this devastating loss knowing that they still have two family members still hospitalized right now trying to get better from the fire .

I truly believe Moose would have wanted the family he loved so much to be taken care of. Thank you to every single person who donated, shared, or simply sent kind words. Your love is helping this family more than you know.
