Hello everyone, I’m making a go fund me to hopefully gain some cushion to help out my family. Around May of 2022 my mother Lost custody of my younger brother and sister. They were put into the foster system for a couple of weeks and within that time, my partner and I worked hard to become emergency care givers just so the kids could live somewhere familiar and be closer to family. The kids were with a foster mom for about 2 weeks and apparently all they would eat was little Cesars everyday and my younger brother said he wouldn’t even get a lot of water to drink. Thankfully my partners parents were generous enough to open their home where we all could live for the time being. Eventually we got news that my siblings would not return as soon as we thought, so in order to keep them in our house we had to become foster parents in a short amount of time. This was when we had to put all other interests and goals on hold to make room for all the lovely paperwork and to make sure our house was up to foster standard. Around September is when we got news that Mom will most likely not be getting the kids back. We do get some funding for being a foster parent, but it is only given as a reimbursement for the money we already spend. From now on, I’m going to be taking over my moms mortgage and utilities, and my grandfather will be paying for our cars along with insurance, etc. We will be working together but this doesn’t include food, clothes, toys, and whatever basic needs. I was never the one to ask for help or money, my close friends know that, but now knowing this is going to be our life from now on, we will need all the help we can get. I’d like to thank the people who have reached out and offered help, along with my two cousins who have been taking the kids to school on days we cannot. Again, this is only to ask for some sort of cushion but any type of help will go a long way , thank you
