Help Family During Devastating Circumstances

Hello everyone,
I created this gofundme for my brother and for my family that are currently going through crisis. In 2009, my brother Carlos Zepeda Jr. was diagnosed with a debilitating mental illness named schizoaffective disorder after he tried to commit suicide at the age of 14. He was diagnosed at the UCLA medical center in Los Angeles. Schizoaffective disorder is a mental illness that combines symptoms of bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Combined, this mental illness can be very severe as well as life-altering. For years, my parents have tirelessly searched for resources and treatments for my brother with little to no support when it comes to mental health. My brother has tried very hard to search for stability in his life with all kinds of different medications and therapy growing up ever since being diagnosed, but due to debilitating factors from his schizoaffective disorder this has been a perpetual battle resulting in my brother becoming viciously assaulted, brutally attacked by multiple gunfire shots and almost killed by swat team and police department.
Our home was destroyed and our two pets nearly killed by countless tear gas bombs then raided and ransacked by police department resulting in my family and I having to live in hotels while still having to pay rent and nobody taking responsibility for damages caused. I am deeply saddened and devastated by this outcome and have recently taken time off from work to mentally process the traumatic events that took place. All donations will go towards recuperation for damages caused by police department and to assist my brother who is currently fighting for his life in ICU. My family and I want to express gratitude during this devastating time. Any and all contributions will be immensely appreciated.
