Hi, I’m Chaneckie Black, President of the Eat Well Live Well Foundation, and I need your help to bring nutrition and wellness to Easley Housing Authority families! Our nonprofit is launching a life-changing gardening and cooking pilot program, exclusively for residents, to help families live healthier, longer lives through nutrition and wellness coaching with simple, sustainable choices. But we can’t do it without you—please donate today.
What the Eat Well Live Well Program Offers for the Residents of Easley Housing Authority:
Gardening Starter Kits: Families get seeds (basil, tomatoes, radishes), pots, and soil to grow fresh fruit, veggies, and herbs in a kitchen garden, front porch garden, or other creative ways. A special gardening kit for the children teaches kids how to grow food, sparking fun and learning!
Community Garden: We’re building a shared community garden where residents plant, grow, and connect, fostering community bonding and healthy eating.
Cooking Classes: Hands-on workshops (1-hour sessions) teach families to turn their garden harvests into delicious, nutritious meals free of pesticides, GMOs, and harmful fertilizers, empowering sustainable choices for longevity.
Your donation helps families save money and enjoy nutritious meals, knowing exactly where their food comes from—grown safely in a variety of ways, from kitchen plots to porch pots. We urgently need potting soil, seeds, gloves (adult/kids), watering cans, sun hats, and more to launch soon. Every dollar supports Easley families to grow their own food, build stronger community ties, learn wellness skills, and thrive together in our community garden.
We’re grateful to supporters like Clemson University, and Easley Housing Authority, but we need more heroes like you! They still have time to donate—if you’d like to support this cause, please give now. Together, we can plant the seeds for healthier lives in Easley!
