This Christmas, we’re creating something special in Cork —

a place where everyone can experience the joy of giving, without financial strain.

The Giving Market is a volunteer-run community event where families can come and “shop” for free — choosing gifts for their loved ones from beautifully displayed, pre-loved donations from local people and businesses.

Our goal is to bring warmth, dignity, and community spirit back to Christmas — because everyone deserves to feel the magic of giving.

What Your Donation Supports

This event will be completely free to attend, stocked entirely by sorted community donations — but we need a little help to make it happen.

Your donation will go toward:

Wrapping & Display Supplies – eco-friendly paper, bags, and signage

Supermarket Vouchers – free raffle prizes to support families with food costs

Craft & Gift-Wrapping Stations – creative corners for kids and adults

Décor & Setup Costs – tables, lights, and festive decorations

Short-Term Storage & Sorting Materials – keeping donations safe and organised

Every euro raised will go directly toward event costs and vouchers — no admin fees, wages, or profit.

All work is done by volunteers who simply want to make Christmas brighter for everyone.

Our Target: €2,000

€1,000 to cover supplies, décor, and essential setup costs

€500–€700 for supermarket vouchers to raffle or gift directly to families in need

Any leftover funds will be used to fund more food vouchers for participants of our free draw. Winners of the raffle are reminded to pass this gift on to someone they know who may need it more this Christmas.
