This year, many families in our community struggling to put food on the table — especially as the holidays approach. That’s why we’re preparing free Holiday Meal Kits for local families. Each kit includes ingredients and a simple recipe card for a traditional or cultural dish, giving families the chance to cook, share, and celebrate together. Families can choose the meal that feels most meaningful to them — or tell us about their own holiday traditions so we can include ingredients that reflect their culture.

Our goal is to raise $4,000 to support at least 50 families this season. Each $60 donation covers one full meal kit — complete with ingredients, a printed recipe, and a small grocery gift card for fresh items. All donations go directly toward purchasing food and supplies.

We’re partnering with a local school to quietly distribute QR codes so families can sign up anonymously. Pickup day will be Sunday, November 24th, and we’ll also provide home delivery for those who need it.

The holidays should be a time of warmth, comfort, and belonging. Together, we can make sure every family feels that — one meal at a time.
