Hi, my name is Samuel Weidenhofer, and I’m running this fundraiser for Excel, an incredible Filipino woman currently working as a nanny in Thailand

Like so many people who leave their home countries in search of better opportunities, Excel has made the heartbreaking sacrifice of living thousands of kilometres away from her husband and three children in the Philippines so she can provide for them

Her husband works as a driver, but his income alone isn’t enough to cover the family’s living expenses. Without a home of their own, her husband and children currently live at her parents’ house. Meanwhile, Excel works tirelessly in Thailand, sending as much money home as she can to give her family a better future

But behind all her hard work is a mother who desperately wants to be there for her children\.

Excel’s biggest dream is to return home to the Philippines, reunite with her husband and children, and open a small business, ideally a beauty salon\. This would give her the opportunity to earn an income while finally being present for the little moments with her family that she has had to miss while working overseas

She doesn’t dream of luxury. She dreams of a home of their own, a stable future for her children, and the chance to wake up beside her family without having to leave them behind to make ends meet

No mother should have to choose between providing for her children and being there to watch them grow up ❤️

That’s why I’m running this fundraiser for Excel\. I want to help give her the opportunity to return home, establish a small business, and build a future where she can support her family without having to live so far away from the people she loves most
