My name is Carolyn Cole-Mabine and I am creating this GoFundMe for my mother, Evelyn Truesdell-Hoffman. Last October, she lost her husband to cancer. She has been struggling financially to maintain her home. Her furnace went bad and was replaced in July. Now, her roof is leaking every time it rains. She applied for what she thought was a grant through a program in Chenango County. She was devastated when she found out that it was actually a loan and they would not cover the roof repair because her home is located in a park.

When I was there in July, I nailed down shingles that were loose and put a gallon of sealant around her skylights and other spots that could be potential leaks. Over the weekend, a family friend went to check it out. He gave her the measurements for the material she needs, and he put a bundle of shingles on the worst spots as a bandaid.

Today, she was able to get pricing for the material needed for the repair. What she needs now is help paying for the materials. The labor will be done by our family friend. Anything that you could send would be greatly appreciated.
