On 11/20/25, Evan and Emma’s home was damaged by a sudden bathroom fan fire that burned their bathroom and filled their entire house with heavy smoke. The smoke had spread through every room, leaving their home unlivable for what may be 6 months to a year. Almost all of their clothes, bedding, furniture, and personal items are now smoke-damaged or ruined.

Their two cats were trapped inside during the fire and had to be rushed to the emergency vet for oxygen and critical care. Their current vet bill is already $6,000, and they are still being monitored.

Right now, they are facing overwhelming uncertainty — where they will stay, what insurance will cover, what belongings can be saved, and how to manage the sudden financial strain of vet bills, temporary housing, and replacing essential items.
