Help evacuate my family from Rafah

Hi my name is Ala, and I’m from Liverpool, and my family are all trapped in Rafah, alongside 1.5 million other Palestinians. I have tried writing to my MP to get the UK government to set up a refugee scheme as we did for Ukraine to get family members to safety but unfortunately that was rejected, which leaves us (and countless other families) scrambling to raise the funds to pay the corrupt system to get them permits to be able to get them out.

It costs 7000 USD per person and this figure fluctuates for reasons nobody understands. But as it stands, this is our only option left to us.

I haven’t put their photos on the fundraiser for their own privacy and dignity, as throughout this whole ordeal, Palestinians have been subjected to having to live-stream their grief over and over, and I believe in giving people their dignity (yes, even when I’m cyber begging for money).

The ground incursion into Rafah, is said to be starting on the 10th March, and as we know it won’t happen before Rafah is “emptied” one way or another, so time really is of the essence.

We need enough to pay to get my brother in law out with his wife and gorgeous toddler son, as well as my widowed sister in law, with her three perfect girls, and my other sister in law, alongside her husband and 5 beautiful children, as I can’t be responsible for picking and choosing who we leave behind. We have to get them all out.

This amount comes to approximately £77000. The funds will be used to pay “Hala Consulting and Tourism” to issue them permits to be allowed to cross the border into Egypt, and use some of those funds to get them shelter in Egypt while we figure out next steps.

I have some of this myself, but will need the rest from kind hearted individuals like you who want to do something, anything, to help those in Gaza.

In the Quran it says "...whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity." (5:32).
