The proliferation of fundraising websites, like GoFundMe, has made it possible for the people of Gaza to leave the massacres of war and their daily misery. I'm sending this message in the hopes that it would help get my family get out of the Gaza Strip.

The four of us in our family are my wife, my two kids, and me. Ibrahim, who is seven years old, is the oldest, and Abdulwahid, who is four, is the youngest. After our home was totally destroyed on November 11, 2023, we were forced to relocate and started living in several places because we were unable to settle down. This is when our problems started.

The suffering began in Khan Younis, and a month later we relocated to Rafah, where it still continues today. Our choice to leave Gaza was motivated by more than just our desire to go; it was also a response to the intolerable suffering that was causing physical and mental suffering for us, especially for our children who simply wanted to live in safety and peace.

Imagine spending the entire day on simple things that used to take five minutes. We have to walk for hours to gather drinking water, hours to gather water for washing and bathing, and hours to gather a few loaves of bread. The difficulties worsen when you sleep on the floor without a suitable bed in a room without windows or even a door to close for safety. We survive on canned food whose quality and preparation we don't know about for months without chicken or meat. Your heart bleeds when you see fear in the eyes of your children. Who between us doesn't want the best life possible for their kids? Imagine living in a world without hospitals, schools, or any other kind of luxury or pleasure.

If the hardships of life only touched us as adults, we might have persevered through them without ever considering leaving or escaping this never-ending nightmare.

You would be doing us a great service if you could spare some money to assist us leave this place, as we are not only running out of food and water, but also from terror, hopelessness, and a psychological death that comes before a physical one.

In order to cross to Egypt via the Rafah Crossing and then try to seek refuge in any nation where life is possible, the target is 15,000 GBP. Details of costs are as shown below, although we have made an effort to be strong and patient, the anguish is great and the going is very difficult. Everybody has their limits when it comes to resilience and patience, but there comes a point at which those limits are no longer valid.

-4000 GBP per adult with totally 2 adults.

-2000 GBP per kid with totally 2 kids.

-3000 GBP for the residence of 45 days in Egypt (rent, food, etc…)
