Hi everyone,

My daughter Eva, who’s 16, has been given an incredible opportunity to volunteer in Sri Lanka on a Marine & Wildlife Conservation project with Travelteer . The programme supports essential ocean conservation work — from protecting sea turtles and cleaning up coral reefs to researching marine life and supporting local communities.

This would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Eva — not only to explore her love for animals and the environment, but also to rebuild confidence and independence after a very tough few years.

Two years ago, Eva’s life was turned upside down when we discovered she had a brain tumour. After major surgery and a long recovery, she’s shown extraordinary resilience and determination. She went on to complete her GCSEs and is now looking ahead with optimism and purpose.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to afford the full cost of this trip, which covers flights, accommodation, and project fees. We’re hoping to raise enough to help her take part in this amazing opportunity — a milestone that would mean so much after everything she’s overcome.

Eva is incredibly grateful for all the support she receives and is passionate about giving something back. Any support raised beyond her target goes in full to causes that mean the world to her — The Brain Tumour Charity, whose online support groups help her connect with and support others going through similar experiences, and the Better Safe Than Tumour

campaign, which raises vital awareness of the early signs of brain tumours to help other families get the help they need sooner.
