Help Eva Heal and Rebuild After a Serious Injury and Job Loss

My dear friend Eva has been through an incredibly difficult year, and I’m organizing this fundraiser to support them as they continue to recover.

Eva suffered a severe accident that left them with multiple broken bones and lasting soft tissue damage in their right foot and ankle. Just as they were beginning to make progress in physical therapy and re-learning how to walk, Eva faced another setback. Complications with the surgically repaired ligaments led to a second incident during therapy exercises, causing three more fractures. Ten months later, they are still dealing with major setbacks and currently have 3 broken metatarsals.

While still navigating this long and painful recovery, Eva was dealt another major blow: they were laid off from their job. Losing their income in the middle of such a demanding healing process has left them in an extremely difficult financial position — especially since most jobs in their field (environmental planning) require outdoor fieldwork they are not yet able to do.
