It is with great heartache that I inform you of the passing of our father, Eugene Garcia, on June 5, 2025. He was an amazing father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, husband, and friend!

He was such a charismatic soul who could draw you into a conversation and make you laugh, even if he was the butt of the joke. He was always ready to have one more drink. When the music started, he was ready to go out and shake a leg. Once you knew him, you couldn’t forget him.

He was an Army Veteran and was so proud that he served his country. He enjoyed sharing the highlights of his memorable moments during his tour of duty. His uniform still hangs in his closet in pristine condition.

Gene was battling many health issues and had just arrived in Ventura to live with family. It’s so heartbreaking that he was only home with us for a few hours. Several loved ones were present when he peacefully passed in his sleep unexpectedly.

We already miss him deeply and he will forever be in our hearts!
