Hello friends, family, and kind strangers,

I never thought I’d be in a position where I would need to ask for help like this, but I am facing one of the hardest challenges of my life.

As I transition out of the U.S. Navy here in Okinawa, I’m preparing to move back home to the United States. While this is a big step forward, it has also brought with it an unexpected and heartbreaking obstacle. My two cats, who are my family and my constant source of comfort, now need to come home with me.

Unfortunately, American Airlines and other carriers have restrictions that prevent me from flying them myself. The only option left is to use a professional pet shipping service. The cost to safely transport them from Okinawa to Arizona is $5,500—an amount I simply cannot cover on my own while also navigating the financial challenges of separating from the military.

These cats aren’t just pets; they’ve been with me through every high and low during my time overseas. They are my companions, my comfort, and my family. Leaving them behind is not an option—I owe it to them to bring them safely home, where we can start this next chapter of our lives together.
