My name is Katherine, and I live in the United States. I am the organizer of this campaign, and will be using trusted sources to transfer funds raised directly to Esraa.

I first connected with Esraa Am- Hamza in January through social media while learning about the personal stories of families living in Gaza Strip during this ongoing crisis.

Over time we began communicating regularly, and she shared more about her life and the challenges, she and her family are facing while displaced in Al-Mawasi near Khan Younis.

Her strength, resilience, and dedication to her children deeply moved me. Since January, I have been advocating for Esraa by sharing her story, raising awareness, and trying to help connect her with people who are willing to support her family.

I created this fundraiser to provide a safe and transparent way for people to help Esraa, and her 5 children, since families in Gaza often cannot directly access fundraising platforms like GoFundMe.

I will continue to provide updates and ensure that funds raised are transferred to Esraa through trusted channels.

Esraa is 31 years old and was once an English teacher. Before the war, she lived in a loving home with her husband and children. Their home was filled with warmth, safety, and hope for the future. Like many families in Gaza, that life has now been completely destroyed.

Today Esraa and her children are displaced and living in a tent in Al-Mawasi, a coatal area where many families have sought refuge. Life there is extremely difficult. Access to clean drinking water is limited, food is scarce, and the weather conditions make survival even harder.

Recently, storms destroyed Esraa's tent, leaving her and her children without proper shelter. They are currently staying with neighbors, but this situation is not sustainable.

Despite everything they have endured, Esraa continues to remain strong for her children and hopes for a safer future.
