Emergency Support for the Espinoza Family in Time of Crisis

What Happened
For years, Ángeles and her family have been beloved members of our South Philadelphia community. Her husband and their children have contributed tirelessly through their construction work, helping to build and rehabilitate and provide ongoing housekeeping services for dozens of homes and families across the city. They are known for their kindness, generosity, optimism and willingness to help anyone in need.
Today, the family is facing an unimaginable crisis. Due to recent events that have abruptly removed the household’s primary income, Ángeles has been left without an income and the support she has relied on for so long. And at the same time, her health has taken a devastating turn.

The Crisis the Family Now Faces
Ángeles has been in the ICU since Sunday November 9, battling severe complications from chronic liver disease. She has been fighting bravely, but her condition remains critical. With no income coming in, her medical bills are growing rapidly, and the emotional and financial strain on the family is overwhelming.

Her loved ones in Puebla, Mexico, who she is deeply connected to, are desperately hoping for the chance to be by her side. But the costs associated with emergency travel, international coordination, and potential end-of-life arrangements are far beyond what this family can manage alone.

What Your Donation Supports
We are asking for your generous support to help stabilize the Espinoza family during this heartbreaking time and to ensure Ángeles receives the dignity and care she deserves.
Your donation will go directly toward:

  • Ángeles’ mounting medical bills

  • Support for her two children, who are now navigating this crisis without financial stability

  • Possible travel expenses to help her immediate family from Puebla come to Philadelphia to say goodbye as her condition remains critical

  • The cost of transporting Ángeles back to Mexico, should the family need to lay her to rest with her loved ones in Puebla

Any amount you give will bring immediate relief, compassion, and hope to a family that has given so much to our community. Your generosity will make an extraordinary difference in a moment of profound need.
