ኤርምያስ መኩሪያ በብልጽግና ፋሽስታዊ መንግስት መንግስትን ትተቻለህ፤ትቃወማለህ፤የአማራ ህዝብ በተለየ ጥቃት ደርሶበታል ብለህ ታነሳሳለህ፤ ለተፈናቃዮች እርዳታ ታሰባስባለህ በሚል ግንቦት 4-2015 ከመንገድ ላይ በጸጥታ ሃይሎች ታግቶ በኦሮሚያ ክልል ገላን ከተማ ባለ ድብቅ እስር ቤት እና የማሰቃያ ቦታ በተከታታይ ለ 15 ቀናት እንዲሰወር ተደርጎ ከፍተኛ የሰብአዊ መብት ጥሰት በምርመራ ሂደት የደረሰበት በዚህም ምክንያት በቅዱስ ጳውሎስ ሆስፒታል ምርመራ የተረጋገጠ በከፍተኛ ድብደባ የግራ ጉልበት ጅማት መቀደድና ሁለት ዲስኮች መንሸራተት ምክንያት ከፍተኛ የእግር፤ የወገብና የጀርባ ህመም ላይ ይገኛል። በፍርድ ቤት ተደጋጋሚ ጥያቄና ውሳኔ ህክምናውን ቢጀምርም በማረሚያው እንቢተኝነት ህክምናው እንዲቋረጥ ሆኖ ከሶስት አመት የቂሊንጦ፤የቃሊቲና ዝዋይ እስር ቤቶች በኋላ በ 2018 ቢፈታም ዳግመኛ ሊታሰር እንደሚፈለግ በደረሰው መረጃ እጅግ አደገኛ በሆነ መስመር አልፎ ከሃገር ለመሰደድ ስለተገደደ አዲሱን የስደት ህይወት ለመጋፈጥም ሆነ ህክምናውን ለመከታተል የወገን ድጋፍ ያስፈልገዋልና፣ በአቅምም፣ በሞራልም እንድናግዘው ሀገራዊ ግዴታ ያስገድደናል።ወንድም ኤርምያስን ማገዝ ለሚሹ ይሄን የጎፈንድሚ አካውንት መክፈት አስፈልጓል።

Ermias Mekuria, for criticizing and opposing the Prosperity Party’s fascist government, for raising concerns that the Amhara people have been subjected to targeted attacks, and for organizing support for displaced people, was abducted from the road by security forces on May 12, 2023 (Ginbot 4, 2015 E.C.).

He was taken to a secret detention and torture facility in Gelan town, Oromia region, where he was forcibly disappeared for 15 consecutive days and subjected to severe human rights violations during interrogation.

As a result, medical examinations at St. Paul’s Hospital confirmed that he suffered serious injuries, including a torn ligament in his left knee and two slipped discs due to severe beatings, leaving him with intense pain in his leg, waist, and back.

Although the court repeatedly requested and ruled that he should receive medical treatment, the prison authorities obstructed it and caused his treatment to be discontinued.

After spending three years in Qilinto, Kaliti, and Ziway prisons, he was released in 2026 (2018 E.C.). However, due to credible information that he was at risk of being re-arrested, he was forced to flee the country through extremely dangerous conditions.

Now, as he faces a new life in exile and continues to require medical care, he is in need of support from his community. It is a national responsibility to assist him both financially and morally.
