Hi everyone, my daughter, Erin, is one of many victims of hurricane Helene.

For the second time in two years, her house has been flooded with over 4 feet of water. Erin had just completed 95% of the repairs from Idalia when Helene hit Tampa with a historical storm surge that caused the Alafia River to rise flooding her home and totaling their two cars.

FEMA has declared her area a disaster area and eventually they will provide funds along with her flood insurance however this will take time. In the meantime, she is living in a container on her driveway as during the storm the septic tank overflowed into the house, and it is hazardous to enter.

As you can imagine, there are so many victims, like Erin, looking for hotel rooms and car rentals with no inventory, and no funds. She is a nurse and needs to work and is desperate for a car to drive her back and forth. Those who know Erin know she is strong and won't ask for help. I'm worried for her and desperate to provide help in any way I can. It has been suggested I start this GoFundMe page. The photo you see is the water line.
