My name is Eric, and I’m a truck driver who recently lost my job. Without steady work, I’ve been struggling to get by, and my family—my wife Cyndi and our three little dogs, Selene, Lola, and Lillie—have been right there with me through it all. Right now, I’m doing everything I can to get back on my feet, but not having a car has made things incredibly tough. Every day, I walk about four miles just to look for work or get to places we need. It’s exhausting, especially when I’m trying to support my family and keep us together.
There’s hope on the horizon: I’ve been offered a new job as a truck driver at a dairy in Northern California, hauling hay. The only thing standing in my way is reliable transportation. Having a car would mean I could start this job, provide for Cyndi, Selene, Lola, and Lillie, and finally move forward from being homeless. It would give us the stability we need to rebuild our lives and live with dignity again.
Any support will go directly toward getting a car, so I can get to work, keep my family safe, and give us a real chance at a better life. Thank you for reading and for any help you can give.
