My mom Erica found a great new place to live, but needs help moving! At 74, she is still brilliant and sharp but has some physical difficulties that make consistent employment tough. The new residence has resources, community, meals, and structure that will make life so much easier and more enjoyable - we just need to get her there.
I sheepishly wish I could take care of this by myself, but as an only child with limited funds I just can’t. Please help however you can!
The donations will be used toward:
- hiring help to sort through, pack, and get rid of almost 20 years worth of accumulated items
- moving expenses: movers, truck
- rent and utilities on her current apartment during the transition
- first rent on her new apartment
- costs of setting things up once she gets there
- some help with basic needs like food and transportation costs as she goes through this stressful period on an extremely low income
