My name is Eric Randall and I live in beautiful San Luis, Colorado. During my stay here, I've been introduced to the criminal environment. My place was robbed of tools and materials I needed to start my business. When I shared my story, I realized so many neighbors in my area and surrounding off-grid community members have been through the same thing. I suggested that we, as neighbors, network together in order to watch each other's properties whenever one is away at work or for long periods of time. I started to receive so many messages from people wanting my help on their land while they work or for the months they are away. This prompted me to form a security patrol initiative called the OFF GRID LAND WATCHDOGS. It is volunteer-based, and our job would be to make sure our neighbors' homes are locked and secure, providing a highly visible presence to deter the ever-increasing theft in our area. I am seeking donations to provide transportation to do the patrols in this rough terrain. My current transportation is borrowed from a friend, and I cannot put that type of wear and tear on his vehicle. I am also asking for donations to assist in providing video monitoring for neighbors who need our help but cannot afford it. We are a community that doesn't have the law enforcement presence needed to help with the theft and constant harassment we receive from criminals in the area. I worked hard to save up for the land I have and the tools I've lost. This crippled me in such a way that I am currently unable to establish my youth development nonprofit.
